Lost in using arcade system emulators?

Hello,

I admit that I am a little lost in the number of emulated machines. I have already downloaded most of the cps-1 and cps-2 roms (that I understand correctly) but there are many other machines and I cannot find my way around. which roms come from which bike (i saw zn-1, zn-2, namco system 11, 22, etc, etc)? I would like to be able to classify them, try to have the complete roms sets per machine and if possible find specific emulators (with me even a little hassle). could someone enlighten me?
